Basis Period Reform

CALLING ALL SOLE TRADERS AND PARTNERSHIPS!

From April 2024 all Sole Traders and Partnerships will have to make sure their Accounting Year aligns with the Tax Year. This means that instead of being able to choose when your Accounting Year ends, you will now have to make sure your Accounting Year ends on 5 April^* each year.

This may mean you have an overlap period for your accounting year and if so, you may have to pay more tax, so make sure you change now and don't pay extra tax.
