The first submission deadline for Making Tax Digital is on Friday 7th August; are YOU ready?

HMRC has introduced Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment - MTD ITSA, for short - from April 2026 and it the biggest UK tax change in a decade.
What you need to know
- It affects all Self-Employed Sole Traders and Partnerships, and Landlords whose annual trading income is £50,000 or above and involves reporting your income and expenses to HMRC every quarter instead of once a year.
If you don't need to enrol on Making Tax Digital
- Why not submit your Self Assessment early and beat the rush? It also makes January a little more bearable.
- We also offer special 'Early Bird' rates for submissions until the 30th of September so get in touch for details.
- And don't forget, if you want to submit your Self Assessment on paper, the deadline is 31st of October.
